Problem with Straight talk are the towers used. The cheap phones use Verizon, mid grade At&t and tmobile, and the droids use Sprint. The mid grade and droids don't work in rural areas because of limited towers. Straight talk is actually tracfone a Mexican owned company. I prefer one you didn't mention Pageplus an American owned company with full coverage in rural areas and better plans to choose from. Rural areas only work with cdma towers so phones with gsm towers only work well in big cities but not in rural USA.
